1. General Terms

Welcome to Athlete Founders Game ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our in-person business game event and relates services before or after the event in which we prepare your participation or conclude your learnings from the in-person game event. By purchasing or accessing these Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy.

If any Service is temporarily unavailable, customers will be placed on a waitlist and notified when it becomes available again.

2. Payment Methods

  • Athlete Founders Game tickets: payments can be made by credit card via Stripe or bank transfer. The favourable option for each participant will be discussed during our application call.

3. Refund Policy

  • Athlete Founders Game includes a 30-day money-back guarantee, starting from the transaction date (the day of purchase). Refunds will be processed within 14 days after a valid request.

4. Access & Membership Duration

  • You'll get lifetime access to learning content on how to find your founder-venture fit, sent directly to your email. You'll also join a WhatsApp group with all participants that stays active after the game. Plus, 3 months of access to the athlete founder database for further discovery.

5. Change of pricing including accommodation

  • Our pricing including accommodation may change over time, as we take into account hotel prices that reflect current demand and supply.
  • The pricing excluding accommodation remains fixed

6. Application Process

To join the Athlete Founders Game, you must first express your interest by submitting an application via the event's official website. Based on this application and an additional call we book with the potential customer, you’ll be asked a series of questions to assess your fit for the game event.

If we believe Athlete Founders Game is the right match for you, you will be offered a spot in the business game based on available spots which will be clearly communicated on our website, and invited to complete your enrollment. You’ll be given a specific deadline by which to confirm your participation. Your place in the event is only secured once payment is made in full.

We reserve the right to decline admission if we believe the program is not a good fit based on your goals, experience, or expectations. Wijzigingen

7. Expulsion Policy

The Athlete Founders Game fosters a respectful, constructive, and supportive learning environment. By enrolling, you agree to abide by our event guidelines, which are published on the code of conduct as part of the final admission participants have to agree on.

We reserve the right to remove any participant from the event—without refund—if they are found to be in violation of these guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or actions that negatively impact the experience of other participants or mentors.

The decision to expel a participant is made at the sole discretion of the Athlete Founders Game team and is final.

8. Completion of game event

To be eligible to receive the official Athlete Founders Game certificate, participants must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Complete all the challenges that are part of the specific business game event the participants partakes in

9. Criteria for the winners of the game event

Winners will be selected based on a clearly defined founder-venture fit framework, communicated to all participants at the start of the event. Jury members will assess the final pitches using this framework to determine which team scores highest. The Athlete Founders Game team holds the final say in selecting the winning team.

10. Dispute Resolution

We believe that open communication and dialogue can resolve most disagreements. If you have a concern, we encourage you to reach out to us at info@athletefounders.eu so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

If we are unable to reach a mutual resolution, you agree that any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions will be exclusively governed by Belgian law and resolved in the competent courts of Belgium.

11. Confidentiality Policy

All materials, business game content, athlete founder database content, discussions, and information exchanged within Athlete Founders Game are considered confidential if they are at least one of the following:

  • Are explicitly marked as confidential.
  • Contain proprietary business insights, financial data, or trade secrets of Athlete Founders Game, mentors, or community members.
  • Include non-public business or strategic discussions shared within 1 on 1 Athlete Founders Game

Any ideas and discussions exchanged between participants during the in-person business game event remain their own. Athlete Founders Game claims no ownership over any venture ideas shared during the event.

By participating, participants acknowledge that certain feedback or thoughts about the business game may be recorded. This content will only be used for public marketing purposes with explicit prior consent.

12. If registrations fall below the required minimum for a specific event

If participant numbers fall below the minimum required to run the event viably, we reserve the right to cancel. Should registration drop below 50% of the target number stated on our website, we will notify all registered participants and issue a full refund to those who have already completed payment via a refund process preferred to each participant

13. Confidentiality Disclaimer

Athlete Founders Game provides a collaborative in-person learning environment where participants may discuss real-world challenges and seek feedback. However, participants are solely responsible for ensuring they do not disclose any confidential, proprietary, or legally protected information during live calls, community discussions, or other interactions.

Athlete Founders Game does not verify, monitor, or guarantee confidentiality of participant-shared information. By participating in live calls or discussions, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for determining what information you share.
  • Athlete Founders Game is not liable for any unintentional disclosure of confidential or proprietary information shared by you or other community members.
  • Athlete Founders Game is not responsible for any consequences arising from the voluntary disclosure of such information.

If you require confidentiality for a specific matter, do not disclose it in any Athlete Founders Game discussions, in-person meetings, or shared materials.

14. Conflict of with participating sponsors

The Athlete Founders Game may feature partners that could potentially conflict with existing sponsor or partnership agreements held by individual participants. If any participant prefers not to be associated with a particular partner displayed during the event, they are welcome to notify us at info@athletefounders.eu.

15. Copyright Policy

All content within the Athlete Founder Game is protected by copyright laws and remains the exclusive intellectual property of The Imagination Machine BV (VAT BE 1008.186.623.). The specific content in question: full Athlete Founder Database, learning documents shared during the game, expert content on founder-venture fit distributed by Athlete Founders Game.

As an Athlete Founder Game customer, you are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the learning content only for:

  • Personal educational purposes (self-study and reference).
  • Internal business use (within your organization), provided it is not used for commercial purposes or redistributed.

You may not:

  • Share, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any part of Athlete Founders Game content.
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on Athlete Founders Game materials.

16. Liability Policy

Our maximum liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Athlete Founders Game ticket.

Athlete Founders Game is responsible for any material defects that existed at the start of the in-person game. A material defect is when the in-person eventdoes not:

  • Function as reasonably expected for normal use.
  • Meet the specific use for which you purchased it, provided that Athlete Founders Gamewas made aware of this use in advance.
  • Match the descriptions, properties, or features explicitly agreed upon.
  • Conform to provided examples, unless the example was for demonstration only.

Limitations of Liability:

  • Athlete Founders Game is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost opportunities, or business interruptions.
  • Athlete Founders Game is not liable to any accidents to or from the event space
  • Athlete Founders Game makes no guarantees regarding career advancement, business growth, or financial success as a result of using the event.

By registering for and attending the Athlete Founders Game in-person event, participants acknowledge and agree to the following:

Participation in the event is entirely voluntary. Participants attend at their own risk and are responsible for their own health, physical condition, and personal belongings throughout the duration of the event.

The Athlete Founders Game and The Imagination Machine BV shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, loss, injury, or accident sustained by participants during the event, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of The Imagination Machine BV or its representatives.

The Imagination Machine BV shall not be liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal property brought to the event venue.

Participants are advised to ensure they hold appropriate personal insurance coverage prior to attending the event. The Imagination Machine BV strongly recommends that participants with known medical conditions consult a healthcare professional before attending.
